About Me

I am working with the Alternative School Programs as a Children's Mental Health Consultant. My background includes over 27 years experience working with Health, Justice, Education, Childrens Services and Community supported programs in Central Alberta. I have over 17 years experience working with AHS Addictions and  Mental Health with the Community Response Team, Children Inpatient Unit at Red Deer Regional Hospital and the Red Deer Childrens Mental Health team.

I graduated with Distrintion from the Univserity of Victoria Social Work degree program. I would consider myself a lifelong learner. Presently, I am in the process of working towards Certification with the Child Trauma Academy in the Neurosequential Model of Therappeutics. The Neurosequential Model is a developmentally-informed, biologically-respectful approach to working with at-risk children developed by Dr. Bruce Perry.  I find brain research facinating and look forward to continuing to expand my learning with some of our most vulnerable populations.

I love to travel, I am a sun seeker and enjoy spending time with family.

I am excited to be part of the dynamic team with Red Deer Public Schools Alternative Programs. I look forward to providing the best possible support and information to the Teachers, Support Staff and Students to best meet their needs.

If you need to conact me feel free to call 403-342-0439 Monday to Friday from 8:15am to 3:00pm
