You don’t have to be an education expert to run as a school board trustee but you do have to passionately believe education is one of most important things to ensure students are better prepared for life.
The Board of Trustees for Red Deer Public Schools includes seven locally elected trustees who make important decisions regarding student education, including

School Board Elections are happening on October 16th 2017 and there’s no better time than to start your campaign now.
The ideal school board includes peoples from all aspects of life, not just professional educators, so having a career in education is not a requirement - which means almost anyone can campaign.
Nomination day is September 18th, 2017 so don’t be a stranger - start door-knocking, talk to friends, family and neighbours, and don’t forget to start attending local school board meetings.
