Each seminar is 3 hours long and will get you a high school credit. Definitely, the easiest way to get your option credits filled.
The expectation is for you to attend/complete at least one seminar this month. You can attend as many as you want to maximize the credits you earn. Enjoy!
Jan 15 - 10am-1pm - Leadership Fundamentals
Students will look at how to be an effective member of a leadership team and will examine behaviours and attitudes that contribute to the effectiveness of a team
Jan 16 - 12:30pm-3:30pm - Perspectives on Interpersonal Relationships
Students examine relationships in their lives and identify their roles in these relationships. Students develop personal effectiveness and basic conflict resolution skills needed to enhance personal and working relationships. Students examine basic ethical, legal and cultural considerations when managing conflict in a variety of settings and relationships
Jan 18 - 9:00am-12pm - An Introduction to ASC
Students will learn about how to be successful in a flexible learning environment, work on goal setting and examine the role of digital citizenship and literacy in their current and future lives.
Jan 22 - 10:00am-1pm - Cannabis
The ins/outs of the new Cannabis laws and research on the impact of cannabis.
Jan 23 - 12:30pm-3:30pm - Workplace Safety Systems
Students gain the attitudes, knowledge and skills related to workplace health and safety and examine relevant legislation required in the workplace.
Jan 25 - 9am-12pm - Leadership Fundamentals (repeat, see above)

Jan 30 - 12:30pm-3:30pm - Leadership Fundamentals (repeat, see above)
